• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Started working on the Do228. So far got the basic fuselage done - still needs detailing and the addition of the gear fairing and wingbox.
If anyone has access to any manuals (except the -100 POH), please let me know :)

They do, but for FSX and X-Plane
For P3D also but as you can see, Carenado brings all his models to MSFS. It wasnt announced yet but who know what are they working on now. On the other hand, Im sure that they will do it for MSFS, it is only the question when, not whether according me. I'm just pointing it out, but I know quite well the situation of the developer who started working on PC-6 and then Milivz came out and the free model from Asobo/MS.

Yeah, they might come out with a 228, but probably not for a while - they're focusing on smaller aircraft and have yet to announce any work on it.

How is your project going Meqolo? :)
Going good so far - got most of the main things done now, just a few large pieces of the exterior model then it's time to move onto the interior model

Made alot more progress since the last updates - the vertical stabilizer, rudder and rudder mechanisms are complete - the flaps and flap fairing mechanisms have been modelled - and the h-stab has begun its formation.

Most of the rear is now complete, just need to add the gust locks to the v-stab, then model the elevators and the rear will be done.
That just leaves the modelling of some larger parts like the engines and props, and the landing gear, then some smaller details like the gust locks, window and door hinges, air inlet on the wingbox, and a part of the internal flap fairing mechanism that allows it to rotate while moving along the external fairing.
Then the interior modelling begins. :)

Looking good! :)

Interior work has advanced alot, with lights included and basic detailing. Currently needs work on the doors and airstairs, along with modelling of emergency exits, seating, and later cockpit.
Exterior work has also heavily advanced - engines are almost completely modelled including the props, just need to create the upper engine air inlet and then work on some detailing of the engines for sensors and air ducts; The windshield has also been improved to add a separator in the middle which should've been there but I missed, woops.

Doesn't look like your first rodeo. It looks real good, very well on the modelling part!

Thanks for all the support :)
Exterior is sooo close to being finished now, all that's left now is the main landing gear as you can see - but the nose landing gear is done to a reasonable level of detail (wheel well is unfortunately quite bland as I have no access to images showing the inside of them)

Nice once more! I was also having the same issues with my Saab 340. But yeah sometimes you have to improvise a little. :)
