• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Few questions about SBuilder

Hi,

Have made my lake and see that it would be helpfull to have a way to measure the dimention of the lake. It's too large.
Didn't use a flatten.
In the tutorial here in this topic a poly is drawn around the aircraft. Is it perhaps better to displace the aircraft and then mark a poly ?

Sorry: Have found via Google a topic about the SBuilder measure tool.

e) Measure Tool added to the Edit Menu. It works in Pointer, Line, Poly or Object modes. You can toggle between "measuring" and "normal" modes by pressing the M key. The Escape key or the right mouse click also exit the "measuring" mode. You get a distance in meters or feet (depending on the parameter MeasuringMeters = True/False in the INI file). While you are making a measurement, you can Pan or Zoom (but with the mouse wheel only). The Heading as well as the Latitude and Longitude of the centre point are also shown. When, in Object mode, you make a measurement, the next placed Object is initiated with the Heading of the measurement.

Hope that will solve the problem....

Regards. José.

Hi,

Can someone do the test and make a small lake inside an addon scenery airport ? Cannot figure out how I make appear a lake. Outside the airport area making the lake is OK. This is for FS2004. :(

Regards. José.

Ah you must select the RWY12 option from the General tab ( the first one that comes up when you try to place an object) other wise the RWY12 tabe will be greyed out. You cannot just select the tab.

Oops!! yes you were right, thanks for the help

Has anyone experience with modifiyng landclass, colors, GUID. I tried (newbie foolish U knever know it may work) changing the color code into 00000000(thats black I think), changed the name and GUID(don´t know the right type of GUID) but no result..
Sbuilder for FSX
Changing name works, I have a new landclass.:D

Hello,

The color is AARRGGBB so your 00000000 is completely transparent black!

Hi, I followed the tutorial for the lake and everything went fine until I started compilation of the bgl.........it never did it. Am I missing some parts in the program????...........I have asked this in the program's forum but no answer there.:(

Hello,

You need to select items before compiling. Only selected items are compiled!

Kind Regards.

Luis

Fsim63........

Have followed your turorial for making the lake in Sbuilder but at the end the program does not generate the Bgl file...I tried it for other polygons and the same.....can you tell be what is wrong. Do I have to have add aditional programs to go along with Sbuilder to generate the bgl???...Oh Luis, I have selected all and still it does not compile.
