• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Grenadines Island Vol.1

Well after comparing both sceneries I don't really see any competition. Patiently waiting for yours.
This is the result of two big mistakes on my part to publish something too early and let it sleep for a long time. Have learned from these mistakes
I like to share with you, I find it cool but I find that the idea becomes dangerous

Are these custom asphalt materials (especially the wet tire marks?) or default Asobo materials?
Everything is stock here regarding the floor, you can see some decals in the top layers. You can also adjust the opacicity or the display scale. Honestly, I don't see the benefit of a custom floor, apart from the special paint markings

In the last update Asobo included in their list the WaterMask of Union Island and it is around.
An update to Grenadines Islands Vol.1 is already in progress to match the boats to the imagery.
Stay tuned, no more news soon ;)

Hello Cédrice,

I've bought your scene and wanted to come with some feedback! The quality is overall good, and the watermasks make the place a joy to fly in.

However, I've found the quality of the 3d ships to be a bit jarring, in the sense that even from distance they look like FSX or pre-FSX quality, it is very noticeable. Given that the approaches fly close to those ships, it's even more noticeable, and that would be great if that could be updated for this product and a future Vol. 2. Obviously the point of MSFS isn't to perfectly model ships, but I find there is a limit under which it breaks immersion. To check the ship quality offered by other third party add-ons I downloaded Vessels Channel Islands on Orbx and I've taken screenshots for your reference:

Vessels Channel Islands (notice how the sails aren't simply flat triangles, and there are some reflections and more polygons)

Notice even the grey sail has a curve

This one looks especially awesome:

Your ships (biggest issue are the flat triangular sail, low polygons as well as the fully white no-reflection hull)

Best regards!

Hello,
first of all thank you for buying my scenery
I've had big problems in the past with poly numbers these things can ruin an entire scenery and force you to spend a lot of time correcting models.
(These are the reasons why I am paying very close attention to this now)
The Catamarans have 200 Ploly's multiplied by about 50 and the rating goes up very quickly.
I would be curious to know if the ORBX models are multiplying over a hundred?
Thank you for feedback :)
