• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Guayaquil Intl SEGU

Model looks very nice so far! I'm not into scenerydesign, but what I'd do is export the model to FSX and get some texturing on them.
I observe you already made use of the Shading.

Regards, Daan ;)

Can you please go more in detail :D Dont know how to do the part with dividing the hole tower into parts to texture them seperatly (one texture sheet isnt enough for the hole tower)
With the hole model im also happy :) But how to go on? :D Need some detailed advices :)

Ah, I understand!

With an airplane I'd do it as follows:

- Oh, I created a complete airplane (so fuselage, cockpit and wings basically) as one object.
- Eh, I want the wings on a seperate texture sheet, and the cockit as well.
- Ah, I can separate vertices! I select all vertices (or faces, think about that!) that belong to the wings, press P and click 'Selection'. I do the same with the cockpit verts/faces.

Hope it's clear ;)

alright. thought thats going like this. So we got lots of single objects after seperating. Then I just need to create for each object a uv map export it and texture it?

How to connect it again to the hole object, after I textured all sheets, (if my procedure is correct)

Not essentially 'lots of single objects', if you seperate three groups.

For every object, create a new material, and assign a new texture. Unwrapping as usual.
You don't need to join the single objects again.

I think the detail is nice. However please be careful with the number of polygons. I think that the ladders in the scenery don't need to be modeled like that. You can use only 1 polygon for each ladder and use alpha channel instead. For AO. it is OK, but for the final product it should switch to lower-poly -detailed model.

How to built it with Alpha Channel? Using a cube, creating UV map und then mark the oarts on texture that should Alpha? Oooho no xD I like these ladders

Some process but still sticking with texturing. I dont like texturing :D

Here are some shots of the main terminal. Nearly completed model. Also started with the runway and taxiways and some additional buildings and signs, but nothing to show you ;) Hope you enjoy. If anyone knows how to get awesome textures and want to join my project, pm.

My home My land My Country!!!! Congratulations I expecting this scenery!!!! SEGU!!!!! when will release?

As I wrote, we got some really nice news for you now. So

First of all we wanna tell you, that Ready4Takeoff-Simulations and I working now together as FSDesignTeam (just a name :D)

We are working on two projects, that were already announced.

Guayaquil Intl Airport (this thread)
and
Abu Dhabi Intl Airport

in fact we dont get enough time for now, to finish both airports in the nearer future, we will focus on the smaller one (Guayaquil) first. We also need to tell you, that Abu Dhabi started yet, but focus is on Guayaquil. So that is all information you needed for now. If there is any question left, contact us.

Enough talked. Here are some screens of the current state of Guayaquil. We will show you some pics of Abu may next week. Hope you enjoy

Main terminal:

Parking aera in front of the terminal

Groundpoly work (thanks to DXtrans ;))

bus-station

some buildings, including fire-station hangars and oiltank (wip)

And last but not, not yet finished textured tower (but I like it a lot)

Hope you enjoyed them. Still need to model buildings in the north while in south nearly all buildings were modelled.

Greetings
