Hi guys,
I have shelved ATL for the time being, for a number of reasons that I won't go into in depth - and in future I will only develop for FSX. So, why am I not retooling ATL for FSX? Performance. With SP1 and the round earth trick(slicing ground polys in 100x100m sections), having detailed ground layouts for FSX is possible again. However, the general FSX performance hit, as well as my own quality standards, would combine to make an ATL release for FSX unlikely, at least until it becomes feasible to maintain high quality, with decent performance - or - until computing power catches up with FSX!
My FSX projects, as a result, will be smaller regional airports designed with the latest FSX tools, and will incorporate all the advances and capability the new sim has given us. I'll show previews of my current project when it's a bit farther along. The basic idea will be similar to Flightscenery, but with a smaller photoscenery area, and only one airport. I am also working on a superdetailed ground layout which will(hopefully) rival that of the beautiful FZ02 Portland, which has been quite an inspiration.
Sorry for the bad news guys, and thanks to all who offered their assistance.
