• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Importing sat image to sbuilderX

I want to make sure I am downloading the proper files because something is not working here.
I downloaded some St. Thomas imagery from the USGS Earth Explorer site.
What I got was a folder named 201011_st_thomas_vi_0x3000m_sp_cnir, and
inside where two folders: index001 that contained a shapefiles folder, and vol001 that contained a TWF file, a TIF file and an XML doc.
I opened the TIF file in photoshop, and converted it to a bmp file, I then opened sbuilderx and imported the file from disk. It calibrated the file and I thought things were going smooth.
When I tried to compile in sbuilderx, it told me there was nothing to compile because no items have been selected.
There must be some steps I am missing??
Thanks for the help.
Bernardo.

First guess that came to mind:
If I'm not mistaken the name in the map properties must begin with "Photo" or Sbuilder won't recognize it as photoscenery to be compiled.
Also try selecting all maps from the Select Menu.

Regards,
Zev.

Thanks Zev, I will try that. BTW, I love your work, it actually is one of my favorite caribbean places to go in FSX. I am currently working on something not too far.
Bernardo.
