There are a lot of Blender projects being posted here, not that many aircraft but very nice ones indeed. I thought I would post my new project from the start with the possibility of getting advice as well as showing some modeling methods for some of those new with Max. A lot of this will also work in gMax. I'm not the greatest modeler, I'm still learning after eleven years playing with FSDS, gMax and Max but I thought this would be fun.
I'm not naming the aircraft, thought I would leave it to viewers of this thread to guess. Those of you who know me will know what it is so please refrain from spilling the beans. I don't think it will be to hard to guess at least with my next post it should be quite recognizable.
Let me get this out of the way right up front. I don't sit in front of the computer 24/7 so it will be slow going. Yes it will have a VC with 3d gauges. It will be for FSX/P3D v1.4 and a native version for P3D v2.5, I don't know about v3 but probably. Sorry no FS9 but when it is completed I'll gladly supply the source if someone wants to downgrade it to FS9 and yes it will be freeware.
Hope you like what will follow
over the next weeks,
months,
years......
Paul
This is what I call the roughing out part. Spline modeling with a Surface Modifier (not shown) and Symmetry Modifier.
