Thank you for the compliment. Not my first but built with a lot more knowledge since the Duck. There have been several models started and usually due to a lack of reference material they were shelved.Just stunning, man! Excellent work.
Not your first model I guess.![]()
Thanks for noticing Dave.Very nice work Paul.![]()
With new modelling techniques learned I was able to keep the count down. Who knows maybe it will work for FS9 but we will see what the VC poly count is although I suspect it will exceed the 64k limit buy quite a bit.Only 53k polies for such an amount of details is efficient. And I like efficiency.![]()

I was thinking of adding a slight yellowing with scratches to the light covers, what do you think?I often thought the transparent leading edge light covers never looked right in CFS until I saw them on the real thing: looked more like something was missing on first sight. Good work Paul!

I have some photographs of the same museum piece you posted for me (thanks again) prior to the restoration work and the covers had that frosted look that you see on some high mileage cars with plastic light covers. Of course that was due to ageing and would not have occurred during the time the Defiants saw action. After checking, last night, the covers are much more apparent in the sim due to reflection (FSX with DX10 preview) so I will leave them as they are. Thanks for your input.Perhaps a little, but with the exception of crash relics those I've seen were surprisingly clear and unmarked.
