• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 MSFS Marketplace Partner Program

Has anybody been approved recently? I have still not heard anything from my application... Rather discouraging. I hope they aren't just hoping that us small-scale first-time developers go away and distribute outside the in-game marketplace.

As it's been 8 months now, I no longer expect to get access. Plus now when I check the site for my application status, I get 'An error occurred while processing your request.'

Yeah, I get that error, too. I wonder if it is worth it to raise this question on dev support.flightsimulator.com? Really disappointing how Microsoft handles this.

tml - I feel your frustration. (I saw your post in dev support.flightsimulator.com)

Others have been trying for over a year to get in, and are also being "Ignored"

so at least you are in good company.

I as well. We are heavily inveated. 1 airport is to market (SimMarket) and 2 currently in development. Application has been in review for basically 1 year. Now it says error connecting. I have even emailed abd reached out to twitter MSFS support....sad

This is disheartening to see. I just submitted my app a week ago. I'll keep people posted here as well.

I was accepted back in March after waiting 2-3 months for approval. Back then we were only a few developers in the marketplace. Last time I heard back in September we were about 250+. I imagine there are more now, but MS has so many addons to review that is taking 2-3 months to get one published. I would believe they want to catch up before they add more developers. Imagine 250+ developers adding 3-4 products per month, that would be 750-1000 addons to review in a month.

In a twitch update from the official MSFS channel a few months ago it was mentioned they were hiring more people to speed up the review process.

obiwan023,

Thanks for the feedback and info. Hopefully, they get some more abled bodies to handle the work. Meanwhile, I join the waiting game with the rest of you.

Cheers!

Jeff

Thanks for the reply! I'm going on almost 5 months. Did you send an email to them to help push it?
Yes, I believe in my case my emails made the difference. If you haven't already, try writing to "msfsim at microsoft.com" and inquire the status of your application.

I appreciate it, I'll do that right now. Thanks! :)

After reading this threat I was preparing for a long wait, but to my surprise I received my approval after 4 days.
Applied on Sunday, approved today.

Lets here about your next steps pls. I think I got a confirmation as well because I now have access to partner site...
Thx Guido

I guess that must be because you apparently have been producing add-ons for FSX since long. Still doesn't explain how they expect to attract completely new developers to their ecosystem, if they basically ignore us, don't even tell what they expect from us in order to consider our application.

Great to hear!
I received a fairly detailed Email explaining the required tasks to complete registration (mostly payout- and tax details, done!) and the steps required to publish a product to the marketplace.
I suppose you should have received a similar mail.
You should probably enter your tax and payout details now. Took me half an hour and was validated an hour later.

Maybe that's the reason, dunno.
I won't complain, but if that's really the reason it'd be...... ehmm......not quite a level field.
