• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MV-22B Osprey

Hey guys,
For those of you waiting for the Ospreys release, I put together a video of showing what it will look like when it taxis/flies. The Osprey is currently in Beta version 2.01, and we are coming up on Beta 3 shortly here.
If you have ever seen videos from the Youtube channels Gung Ho Vids and AiirSource Military, I edited the video in the style that they do. Enjoy :)

@0:21 MV-22 Taxi
@1:18 A330 MRTT tanker take-off
@2:30 MV-22 STOL take-off
@3:23 Mock Air-to-Air refueling demonstration
@4:41 MV-22 Tactical combat insertion/extraction landing zone demonstration
@6:00 A330 MRTT tanker landing
@7:14 MV-22 landing

Hi Josh,

First of all, by itself a great video !!
I wish I could create something like that ....

But that said ...(please, forgive me ...LoL)
It doesn't do half-justice to what Maryadi has actually accomplished with this addon (compared to "other" V22 addons).
Besides that, announcing an expected public release date early febr. 2016 is a bit optimistic ...LoL

Hope you can see the humor in my reaction ...

Cheers, Rob

Lol The video doesnt do half justice to his V-22 compared to any addon in general. The model, coding, and everything that goes with it is an absolute masterpiece. What Maryadi, Naruto, and you have done with the aircraft makes me have no words lol. The feats you guys have overcome with the aircraft is something I have never seen before. Thanks Maryadi (and others) for making an aircraft that will fill a huge gap in the FSX addon world!

Oh and the Febuary 2016 thing.. yeah it was 2:30am in the morning for me. I knew I was gonna mistype something hahah:D. With that said, the part where I say it is expected to be released in early *2017, that was based off an old post in the forum where maryadi said that it wasnt gonna come out in before the new year. I figured i wouldnt be more than a few months so i put February. In all honesty, I shouldve asked you guys first for a better time estimation. I will most likely take the video down and repost it without the expected release.

Have a good day,
-Josh

Hi,
Josh, Awesome video!!!
I'm OK if it just expectation, no harm for me. it can be reference but not actual. let see how it goes, if no issue/noted issue, I will release it as fast as possible.

Ok, Im glad your not upset about it. I didnt put much thought into it when typing when I should have thought about it more haha

Outstanding video Heater. Just reinforces my comment that this aircraft will be center stage in my barn. I absolutely love the MV-22 and from what I've seen and read on this forum, this offering is light years ahead of anything offered by the companies. As I've said, I have no abilities (and patience) to under take anything of this nature so I'm extremely excited that someone (group) undertook this daunting task. that said, if this becomes payware, I'm in all the way. If it stays freeware, I've seen where developers have created a way to donate; in order for us less than capable simmers to show our gratitude. either way I'm grateful.

Please keep up the good work and look forward to next years release.
Awesome work.:)

Just wondering if you left the lights at the end of the propellers or you scrap that project!! I don't mind what intensity the lights end up being but I very much would like if you could include them with the release!!!

sorry bit busy with testing basic and important flight dynamic and animation. this basic change have chain impact to overall flight behavior (exclude SVTOL)

Otniel here is a picture the effect looks better when playing. The second one playing with a freeware Addon not include in the model.

Please please please tell me this will work in P3dV3
Bigcav
Yes, it will ....
Actually, it's designed for P3D, with the intend to keep it functionally compatible with FSX and FSX-Steam.

Rob

more detail, it build use Prepar3d SDK v3.4.9, compile use FSX acceleration SDK. original test use P3D v3.3, Rob and some beta tester use FSX, FSX Steam.

Guys, I have been playing with the beta version all week, landing on platforms of a scenery I'm about to release, and as a Tilt Rotor Engineer all I can say is wow. The level of accuracy you have reached "scares me". LOL
The V-22 is a machine that will kill you very quickly if you don't pay attention. In your particular model, the VRS simulation is simply outstanding, (and it gets me every time which is so different from all the commercial, boring, airliners and fighters I usually fly ;-)

I also love the fact that when max power is used, you get a clear indication prompting you WTF are you doing? (Mast Torque Warning).

BTW I am running your beta on P3D V3.3, runs flawless. Your model has given me a reason to fly in the sim again (apart from developing).

Please do a V280!! hahahaha

David
