• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MV-22B Osprey

Thanks @pinkjr, I know you still use beta 1 as that beta still refer to default SDK, beta 2 are very complex one, now working beta 3 as fix and correcting beta 2. beta 1 has VRS and max VTOL load, so in beta 3 with some additional limitation, like you can't push your engine above limit till amount of time or engine will fail.
because of that this project push me hard to make a flight manual (this in boring).

some of my aiming in this aircraft is. this aircraft was not easy to fly as a game but not troublesome, must understand about limitation, make automation in critical part as less as possible. To fly this aircraft (except on cruising) you must fully take control from your hand (finger of course, lol).

for V280, I don't think so it will came to my project list, as that aircraft still prototype. I don't know the specification, system, behavior, and some other basic needed for an aircraft. I don't want make unrealism aircraft that fall to (sorry) suck aircraft, that will throw away immediate after first fly.

Any more eye candy from the beta team? Always checking the thread from time to time to satisfy my hunger for this release.

From the threads, it seems that this build is far from simple and I applaud you and everyone involved for your efforts.:)

Beta Team was waiting for beta 3, today or tomorrow I will release beta 3 for beta tester team. if there no major change, this beta 3 as final beta before release.

@shortleash, yee I could post more random screenshots, I just didnt want to hijack this thread with them, haha. Ill post more shortly... plus Beta 3 is coming out! yes! Us beta testers wont tell Maryadi of any more issues so that it is released earlier ;) jk it is actually almost complete though

Edit: For the screenshot, is there anything specific anyone wants to see of the aircraft?

Not sure if this qualifies as "eye-candy" ..LoL, but just one example of the detailled realism implemented in this addon: the NacellesIndicator in the PFD.

NacellesIndicator.jpg

Visualising the current nacelles rotation angle, and airspeed-dependant conversion corridor (the green segment, with red bars indicating the current upper/lower airspeed limits.)

Summerised:
When the MV-22B converts from VTOL to APLN mode (normal flight), it's automation keeps the nacelles angle between two airspeed-dependant limits to ensure a smooth transition.
So, if enabled and given the current airspeed, the pilot cannot set the nacelles rotation angle outside these limits.

Rob

PS.
Disclaimer:
Neither Kalong or me are real MV22 pilot's or engineers, but this is how we read the manual.
So if somebody with real-world expertise knows better, we'll gladly be corrected ......

Very amazing build. Love the detail in the gauges. Rcbarend, I have flown other aircraft that have your software addin and I am always impressed and don't see this build letting anyone down. Very impressed with all involved with your attention to detail. Kalong thank you so much for undertaking this endeavor and eagerly awaiting the release. Thank you for the posts and pic. Please keep them coming

@shortleash For my personal computer experience, the plane is frame rate friendly. Im on a server right now full of other players, and im getting around 25 fps. Thats what I normally get (maybe slightly less) than with the default F-18 hornet. For the amount of complexity and coding for the aicraft, it is veeerry frame-rate friendly lol.

Hey Heater,
car you make a picture with all animation enabled? (doors open, cargo gay open, flaps down, propeller folded etc? :)

This MV-22 is now a Payware qualityn Im amazed it will be free, and I will get it As soon as its seleased :D

Thank you Heater :D
I can't wait to fly this Osprei :D
if you have time (and allewed to do) I'l like to see the famous VRS (the one we talked about last year, thae caused the crash of a real MV22) if too much work need to do the video, then, don't do it ;), its just because I'd like to see it In-sim :)

Kalong and everyone involved with this build; Very impressive and I am in awe. Completely blown away with the detail; the blade fold/wing stow is simply amazing. I'm sure this model will become the default V-22 product for many people; much like Dino's T-45 and F-35.
