• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MV-22B Osprey

Give It To Me Now :)
Its is just awesome; I like the V-22 :) its hard to see what you've done and still waiting for it :P

I saw that you mentioned that the A/C works in FSX and Prepar3d v2+; have you tried or plan to beta test in v3?

Also, were you going to try and implement the FLIR image in one of the MFD's? I believe the FLIR imaging is something that built into Prepar3d.

Awesome work, looking forward to its release.:)

it already tried in P3D v3. aircraft it self build using FSX compiler, although "ace tool" using P3D v2 SDK. aircraft will compatible in FSX or latest P3D as long as there no significant change in P3D engine.
FLIR not only implement on ONE MFD, it Implement to all 4 MFD, it can customize what ever screen you want to display it. it quite complicated hope I'm not lost on somewhere.
camera compatibility, as I said on post number #156, camera would work only in P3D, can't reverse engineer to FSX. that the only different by now. but if there a chance to implement camera in VC on FSX, I will use that.
I will try to make this aircraft stay compatible with FSX.

Hello

Kalong, your model is two things: brilliant and beautiful. All those hours of hard work finally get to the the sweet spot. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Congratulations my friend,
Sergio.

Nice Letourn. you add some more rivet and weathering, I have not done yet on original paintkit.
how the multiplayer goes?

Hey letourn, are you open to inputs of others for your paints? I wanted to give a little feedback on them

Sure Josh just remember they are WIP far from being complete and i am no expert in repaint but learning

I did some high altitude testing today around Mt Everest. I could make it to altitude in forward flight mode, climbing to the required altitude between Kathmandu and Everest. As a sign of good flight dynamics modelling, I was unable to hold a hover while at the peak of Everest. So sadly the MV-22 will not be able to be called upon to rescue stranded climbers. As soon as I entered hover mode I lost lift and entered the tumble caused by the Vortex Ring State. It really flips over quickly, although I was able to regain control by lowering the nacelles and entering forward flight mode and building up some speed by heading downhill. You really need some room to do this.

Nice modelling guys.

Just a quick note, or question. Is there, or will there be some way to manually adjust the barometric pressure, both on the MFD and on the standby altimeter.

Cheers,

Awesome screen shoot ...

for hover mode there have altitude limitation around 6000 feet.
barometric pressure can input using keyboard, sadly for beta 1, I still not yet implement keyboard input. it will have keyboard input, I still learning it.

Thanks Maryadi.

So at 29000 feet I'm just a little bit over the limit. :scratchch

It's a good shot of the MV-22, but I've noticed my Everest is a bit messed up. I noticed when flying, I must have two different PR sceneries installed.

Cheers,

Service ceilling is at 25k in plane mode.

Maybe you were pushing the bird a little ;)

So that's why all the engine indications were red

Yes I was pushing the engines pretty hard, they were pretty much at max (safe) power. I noticed in my first flight of the beta the FSX/P3D service ceiling was a few thousand feet above the real world model, but it is pretty close. My first full flight I think I was cruising at about 29000 feet. Then again the engines were working to keep at that altitude.

Cheers,

you can't get that altitude at next beta, I already implement some limitation with engine, will have short of time at RED indication before engine fail.

Hey Maryadi, Speaking of the engines. I looked up the max speeds and cruise speeds of the aircraft; 305kts and 270kts respectfully (according to wikipedia). However, I cant seem to get above 265kts without having to push past red or diving below level flight, let alone reaching the 300's. Is there any reason you can think of thats causing this?

Are those speeds TAS or IAS? You compared with TAS indications?

I tested in the sim with IAS, Ill try TAS and get back to you, Never thought of that tbh lol

yeah i tried with TAS, same results as IAS. At level flight, I have to be pushing yellow and even red to hit 260kts let alone the max at 305kts

Hi Josh,

please try fly at 15.000 -17.000 ft at 230+ IAS, you will get 305 TAS. and yes I prevent it goes above max airspeed. I do many time to TAS to get exact limit indication, new gauge update, have indication airspeed limitation. you will get RED indication too in airspeed beside engine limitation if you nearly and above 305 TAS.
