    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

FSXA N1 fan animation

Hello,
I'm having a weird issue with my N1 fan animations.
- I've attached the three visibility state (still, slow and blurred) but in FSX all of them run at the same time.
- I've animated them from frame 0 to 100 using frames 25, 50 and 75 in between and added the animation tag (N1_0_slow, ...).
- I've rotated them 90 degree for each of these frame until 360.

I don't know what I'm missing. But also I have a problem with xtomdl (maybe) as I need to import/export the model through MCX in order to get the animations showing. If I just compile the aircraft and open FSX all the animation look frozen. But there I can see the blurred or slow state showing up and seem to be working as it should.
Can't MCX export N1 visibility state?

Thanks for helping!

  1. Did you use the Attachpoint Tool to add the "Visibility" condition for each of the three fan variations (_still, _slow, and _blurred)?
  2. Have you verified that all animations are using Linear controllers?

1. Yeah I attached the visibility tag for each condition and I can see them when I right click and go to object properties.
2. I changed all animations to linear and reset scale.
I even reinstalled the SDK.
Maybe I'm using the wrong xtomdl. I'm thinking about writing another set of conditions on the modeldef.xml and use those instead.
