Hey Nath,
Here is a way to attach sound to your truck.
I created an effect and controller with a sound param which is in the zip folder. Attach the controller(not the effect) to your object using gmax attachscript. The effect just contains the sound params and the controller is used for distance which is set at 35 meters. If you want it to be heard closer then make the amount less...heard farther..increase the value. Just drop both files in your effects folder.
IMPORTANT!!! you will have to rename your wav. file to amb_aexp1a.wav then just drop in your fs/9 sound folder.
The two reasons that i used a controller was for the distance you want the sound to start. Second reason is that these sounds are considered global...meaning that if you set the sound to be heard at your local airport at 1:00 pm.....and your flying over another country at that time...you will hear that sound, using a controller with a distance param will eliminate that.
Also, the reason you need to change the name of the wav file is that only certain names are reconized by fs9. Lucky for us, combat flight sim 2 uses the same engine as fs9 and there are a couple of sound params that are hard coded into fs9 that are not used like the one i gave you. Since there are a few, if you intend to release this on the site, make it well known that the end user isnt using this param already for another effect, otherwise it will overwrite it.
Hope this helps you
Dave
