I know this was talked about shortly after the MSFS was made publicly available, however I've been surprised to see these two mistakes still being made, and often going uncorrected.
Remember to always rename your modellib.bgl (You want to rename the "modellib" input folder for this) and "materials\MyCompany" output directory!
Because of how MSFS mounts packages, leaving this default name can cause conflicts between packages containing model libraries, often leading to models displaying without textures.
To further awareness of this issue, I have also created a fairly detailed video showing how to correct both issues!
Hopefully this helps some of you out! Also, don't forget to take a few minutes to let another dev know if you see these issues in their addons.
