• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Taxi lines and menu problem

Firstly, when I open up a menu like double clicking an object, I can't see the full menu. It looks like I would need to scroll down, but I can not. Anyone have this issue? Secondly, I put down a polygon thing to flatten out my area. Then placed a dirt runway, helipad and grass apron. These are visible. And I then made taxi lines, parking spots and a fuel spot. The fuel trigger works. But no taxi lines are painted. And when I start fsx, I can't choose to start at av parking spot. The only option is "active runway" which starts me off in the grass. Not even the runway... Any ideas? I want my parking spots to be usable and all my painted lines. As well as all my menu to be viewable.

What is your screen resolution? ADE has a minimum screen resolution. Also what version of Windows are you using and do you have your screen dpi set to something other than 96dpi? It sounds like you may not have added any starts to the runway. Simplest thing would be to attach your ADE project file (.ad4) to a new post in this thread so that we can look at it.

Thank you! I will try and do that later today when I get home.

this is one I am working on. I might have to try it again because this file for some reason has lost the taxi paths I put in.

You mustn't have saved the project, there are no taxiways in that ad4 file.

No idea what I did, but the taxi line showed up for my 6th try. So I'll build more and see. I still need to add the active runway thing. And figure out how to add static aircraft. Is it easy?

Everything is working now. Except I added two hangars from the "library objects" but they don't show up in fsx. They show in ADE though. Still have to figure out how to add downloaded aircraft to be static aircraft...

Check the Image Complexity of the hangar against the Scenery Complexity setting in FSX.

Make sure that in the View Menu you have Parking and Taxiways checked.
