• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

From different users I get reports that the site is not always accessible and that it is sometimes down. I have opened a support ticket about this at the web host. Hopefully they can see what is going on.

Please keep me informed about trouble reaching the site.

Yeah just the last couple of days I have had timeouts on several occasions. Usually it is very robust and I have zero issues.

I am allowed to load pages fewer than half the times I try. I find the site to be most likely accessible late evening/early morning Pacific Time US west coast.

I had problems to load the page last hours...
(and now I had a second try to post this reply)
(and now a third try)
and again now

I send the webhost a support request this morning, I expect a reply tomorrow. I'll let them investigate what is causing this.

I seem to having problems loading the site from Chrome. Seems to work fine from Bing and Explorer severs.

I too have been experiencing issues more often than not when loading the site over the past couple of weeks (Firefox).
I am also located US West Coast South California.

I don't think the location really matters. The server is in the Netherlands and I am in the Netherlands, but I also have the timeouts or other troubles now and then :)

Rather flaky from my end this past week in the UK on Firefox (desktop) and Safari (phone) . Sometimes good, plenty times unable to connect.

Hi Arno!

I live in the United States, and I use Fire Fox as my web browser. When I try loading FsDeveloper, the hosting server times-out. The server is having an issue with the TLS handshake. I have also tested loading your site with Internet Explorer. It has the same problem with the TLS handshake.

Thanks, Kris

On the rare occasions over the last week that I've been able to connect, the site has worked fine.

Having trouble connecting to the site multiple times since Feb 11th. Always seems to "go down" around 0100Z for me which is early evening MST in the USA. I always try to go to the FSDeveloper Facebook page to report it, but trying to see the natural and logical progression of posts there is...confusing. I saw posts that were only hours old sandwiched in between some that were days old. Better luck on Messenger. At least there they are in chronological order. :-)

No real pattern for me. All day long it has been a coin flip as to whether or not the site loads. That has been the case for the last few days.

I got feedback from the web host that they had performance issues over the weekend in the server where fsdeveloper is also hosted. They are investigating the source of it.

I bet it's the Bitcoin miners. They've already ruined the hardware market... ಠ_ಠ
