I am designing a custom airport in Blender (with Blender2MSFS). The first version only had 3 or 4 models: 2 types of hangar replicated several times and a flag. Plus a sprinkle of Asobo ready-made objects etc. At least two people told me about CTDs: the weird thing that one was able to fly from my CNC3 airport, but when nearby major airport CYYZ was selected on the map, as soon as "set as destination" button was pressed - instant CTD. And I could verify that, it happened to mee too 100% of the time when I did that. So I thought, maybe one of my models is bad somehow. I recreated 2 hangar models from scratch in Blender with a different worflow (Building Tools), baked the textures and released another version. The first CTD problem seemed to be cured, but now same person says he only can't spawn in a parking spot at nearbby airport or my airport, as long as my airport is in the Community folder. Another person complained about not being able to use my scenery at all.
But I don't see what could cause this. All models look good, normals outside, textures baked, compiling without errors ("0 failed"), what could be wrong?
I'm getting crazy with MSFS SDK bugs. I wish SDK was better - nothing I do should create CTDs, if there are errors it should not compile in Scenery Builder, or give errors so I can see what the problem is. If there are no errors and everything compiles fine, I don't even know how to trace the problem, even if I can reproduce it...
Here's what he writes: "If you click the main CYYZ airport departure icon with the map zoomed way out, then you can zoom back in, use the drop down box and successfully select a ramp or gate. The problem appears confined to actually clicking on a parking spot at CYYZ when CNC3 is in the community folder. However, I discovered another problem. I can spawn at CNC3 on the runway by clicking the main airport icon. I cannot spawn at any CNC3 parking spots I click on. The click appears to be accepted, however when you hit the 'FLY' button nothing happens. Despite the parking spot being properly selected the sim appears not to recognize the CNC3 parking spots as valid departure points."
Any ideas?
