• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 Where is Raditor for P3D V4?

How can i change the coordinates system for my aircraft in P3D V4 since i have objects that sit outside the aircraft box. The standard Raditor program does not work with V4 models since we use the V4 XtoMDL.

Is there a new tool or another method? Does the author need to make a new version?

Solved my own issue.
You use the override bounding box and override radius from the Export and LOD Tools.

I wonder why i ever needed the Raditor tool when you could pre set the values in advance!

Possibly because those overrides do not work with the 32 bit compiler.

Yes i still need Raditor because the FSX XtoMDL will not include work using the override info. Only P3D works. That is a bummer.

I wonder why does someone not create a new XtoMDL that would make the override work and increase the animation list. Is this possible?:stirthepo

RADItor should also work with P3Dv4 mdl files. But let me double check.

Creating a new XtoMdl compiler would be quite some work and you need to know all details of the mdl format. So I understand people don't start such a task easily.

I already know Raditor works on all MDL files but i prefer the override option so during development your not using it each time or forgetting during an update version.
That is why i wish the XtoMDL V1.4 also would use actually read and use the override info.

And i figured it would be some work to made a XtoMDL. P3D makes their own and i figure we need one that can do more for FSX models.
