The Learning Center is the manual for FSX, and contains a wealth of information on all aspects of operating the simulator.

Learning Centre - Access from desktop

You can acccess the Learning Center from the GUI within FSX,
or at any time from within your internet browser, (without launching FSX).

Find lc01.htm

Using Explorer (file manager), navigate to the FSX root folder.
In there you'll find a folder named Uires
Containing a file called lc01.htm

Default location is -
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Uires\lc01.htm

Create a shortcut

Right-click on lc01.htm
Left-click on Create Shortcut

Rename the shortcut to Learning Center.
Copy the shortcut.
Paste it onto your desktop.

Open the Learning Center

Double click the shortcut, the Learning Center will now open in your internet browser.
You can view all the content at your leisure.

Notes

  • Getting Started is the only page that doesn't work outside the sim.
  • Depending on your browser security settings, you may be prompted with an alert. Just "Allow blocked content".
