• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

4.pull all the stick back
5. 100% power
6. Pray

Sorry for the music

Nice....!!

Ive been 'slowly' giving it throttle to 40%. I thought that was low. I'll try this. Thanks Gerli.

Wow. Just looked at Palm Springs. Near Orbx payware quality. I can't believe how many beautiful airports they just threw in there.

I consider this purchase to have given me back much more value than I could have ever expected for my money.

I feel the same.. I have started enjoying just flying.. I sit here for an hour just enjoying the flight, then thinking about the flight later the next day. The environment really is a big component to the reality factor.

How in the world do all these giant textures run on a regular computer?

Well, Ipacs is certainly not thinking small!!!!! http://steamcommunity.com/app/434030/discussions/0/351660338723844330/

They are proposing total world coverage suitable for viewing from approx 20,000 feet that would total a whopping 120 gigs.

In other news, AFS 2 is rapidly approaching the 85% approval rating necessary to reach "overwhelmingly positive" Steam review status. Good going.

[Official] Need your opinion on world wide texture pack DLC
As we have announced a few weeks ago we are also considering a separate DLC with higher resolution aerial images world wide. When we talk about 'higher' here it is of course not the same level as our south west USA texture pack, but considerably lower. As a rough guideline expect to have around 30-60m per pixel.

However the main motivation for us it to basically have an almost world wide coverage with images that look good from altitudes of 20000 feet and above, so this means you should in general recognize where you are flying. Some sample images can be found here:

So what's your opinion here, would it make sense to offer a DLC like this? As a rough guideline the download will be around 60 to 120 GB, depending on if we add everything or leave out some rather boring areas.

That is awesome.... Its a great sim.

I saw that they were getting ready to do the world scenery thing. Man, thats a hefty download. Maybe its easier for them to do the entire thing in one lump. I suggested to do portions, like America, Europe, England, etc, etc. Sort of like ORBX do.

It will be very nice to have world scenery. I would love to fly over Colorado, England, East Coast in USA, Italy and France, NZ... Oh man...

I was thinking they might find it reasonable to distribute large scenery areas like megascenery does, on 64bit usb sticks, but now I wonder if blue-ray might be more sane.

Everyone has a USB slot, but few might have a blue-ray on their computers. It would be a great option though.

USB's are becoming so inexpensive these days. I got Windows 10 for moms laptop and I open the box and Win10 is on a thumbdrive / flashdrive now. No more CD's. Wild...

Thanks! I see what I can do.
Edit: Seems that the download link for the Developer Tools are down.

http://wiki.aerofly-sim.de/bin/view/Main/DeveloperLicense

We have finished an initial version of our scenery SDK for Aerofly FS 2.

Anybody seriously interested in creating \airports or new scenery objects for Aerofly FS 2 and who has access to either 3D Studio Max 2010, 2012 or 2016 or Cinema 4D R17 may contact us for an evaluation of the SDK. Drop us an Email at mail (at) ipacs.de along with some information on why you intend to develop sceneries for Aerofly FS 2.

I don't want a developer license, I just want to edit those ttx files and put some Anime characters on my airplane (?) :p
