• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Airbus A350 XWB

Textures. Don't forget textures...

Since FSX uses separate models for the exterior and interior, you can also finish and publish the exterior first and then do the cockpit as kind of an upgrade. This gives people something to play with.

Well pehaps the Beta's will first be with exterior only. I don't think an interior should be a update. The textures will also be worked on soon, my repainter will get the opportunity to start some painting very soon. ;)

nice to hear ^^

repaint, mmh

Qatar for sure with the pic I've sent you

I'd say to start with Airbus rollout, Carbon, qatar launch customer and perhaps the Qatar (possibly A7-ALB or A7-ALA). We'll see.... I don't want to pressure my repainter too much ;)

yeah ;),
then, I'll will go back to french guyana on september (i'm in France for holidays, so No FSX)

Well just enjoy your holiday! ;)

Oh my god, I swear if I could, I'd probably be wet from how sexy the plane looks.

I don't know what would be an appropriate response to that... But I hope you mean it like this:

At the moment I'm baking some textures to try and texture them. Also I'm awaiting reply from Airbus for extra information on the aircraft :)

Dispite a small mishap with the baking of the textures (quite embarissing to admit I don't know why it turned out like this) I still think it is another step forward.

Hi F747fly,

Nice progress and nice modelling. :) About the textures, does it show the same in the Blender viewport? It seems like your UV-mapping has some issues.

Thank you capt_X, without your great tool I woudn't even be making this progress ;) The textures do show up like that in the viewport and I'm thinking it is a UV failure. I checked the UV, fixed some things and am baking again to see if it makes a difference ;)

A little video I made while I was fiddling around with some stuff in FSX. Basically ATM she's the biggest GA aircraft in the sim ;) I had no instruments and barelly any flightcontrols, so forgive me for the horrible landing. Also I think the nose wheel contact points have been misplaced (watch what happens at the end)

I wonder if I can now paint this texture-map I've made, since it doesn't seem to respond to what I paint on it...

Getting closer to fixing that twisting you could see at the end of that video.

nice,
try to make smooth controls (fly by wire) as aerosoft a320; pmdg 777, qalitywigs futur 787) with manoevers limitations :)

A better one would be

Actually that wouldn't have been a good reply, since (unlike the girl in that image seems to be) I'm not hysterical. And in order to achieve "realism" I will eventuelly have to give it some sort of fly-by-wire system, thus no wouldn't be correct.
