• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

This is what I call a master modeler in action. I am wondering what would you do in 3ds max?

Fantastic work lads, keep it up!
Sergio.

Thanks!
Well the sad thing is that i think in the end i have to transition from fsds to 3ds max. I think this project will be to much for fsds to handle.

I have tried blender, but personally i do prefer 3ds max since it's more similar to fsds. I also have 3ds max 15. But I can't use it on my current pc since it a 64bit version and my pc is only 32bit. But I have it on my wife's pc, butt she won't be too happy if i take over here's pc :D

But i will stick to fsds as long as possible.

I can't wait to going on short field hopping with Wideroe :p

Heyyyy, same Idea as me? :P
I hope you wife would share her PC with you :P (just give yours in exchange) say it is for a Vital stuff, I really need a DH8-100/300 (any plans for the 200 too?)
With Woderoe, theres is "Maldivian" DHC-8, nice flighht to do there too

Regards,
Marc L

The DHC-8-200 Series is basically the same as the DHC-8-100 Series except for the engines, they both use the same airframe.

haha! if it just was that easy!

yes i will make the 200 too, and like PaulJC said, the q200 have the same airframe dimension like the 100, but is has same engines and cockpit like the 300.

Ahhh Okay, I though it was the intermediate lenght betweet 100 ans 300 :)

The 200 series was actually designed AFTER the 300. It’s essentially a 100 Airframe but with a slightly different Flight Deck (very similar to the 300) and upgraded engines.

The 200 has PW123C or PW123D Powerplants providing 1950SHP (2150 UPTRIM). Where as the 300 has the PW123E providing 2140 SHP (2380 UPTRIM).

not just you who want a whole fleet! I hope we will finish the dashes soon

but I guess thesre are no estimation at this stage? :) don't worry :)

EDIT:
What a beautiful place and plane

Hi,

Yes, Moken takes hundreds of photos, which are the base for the textures...

@Moken do you actually have access to a real DHC8-100/200/300????? :O
If so, How??? you work at Wideroe? you know people there?

Also, I visited your Website :O it so amazing :) I love your company name too: Turbine Design :)
Too bad I don't have the needed talent to help you (airplanes are a foreign terrain to me... I have an A340... but it kicks my butt)

Regards, Marc L

Yes i do have access to a real dash8 How i got access? I know the right people and I have asked Wideroe.

Thanks! Well the website is under construction, so it's not finished yet. And it's not much to see in the forum. (We have a hidden section there)
It was really hard to come up with a name for the Design team/group, but in the end i Turbine Design was chosen.

Do not give up Marc, practice makes master. Begin in small steps and work your way up ;)
