Does it really matter?
I bought FSDSv3 because I wanted to. I don't want or need to learn GMAX.
It's all a question of personal choice. I have 3dsMax - one day I will get around to learning that.
I like using FSSC - it may be old fashioned but it does the job I want it to do.
Most of my airports are designed with FSSC but in collaboration with a colleague I made my first airport using AFCAD, but still relied on FSSC for the odd ground polygon and of course lines of trees and the roads.
Anyway it does not matter whether they upgrade it or not, I am not waiting for it in particular, although I do like to read this thread to see how things are getting on.
I have had problems with it as has everyone at the beginning but that is what this forum is about, sharing ideas, asking for help, giving help. I have learnt many things from this forum.
There was a comment previously about the Boolean Operation not being up to scratch - I have no problems with doing Boolean Operations. I can cut holes, squares in anything. Anyone need a few tips then read my posts on it. Or start a thread or send me a PM!
I have had problems making Ramplights but today I succeeded in doing my first one and although it is nowhere near as good as the RampLight Library, I am getting there.
Let's just have patience, perhaps when the upgrade comes out it won't be all what we expect anyway. And if we don't like it then we can always downgrade back to v3 can't we?
