• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v5 Germany Photoreal

Oh, unfortunately I have far too little talent in modelling...

Since I visited Africa last August, I am working on a good version of Africa. The vegetation is one of the problems (the smaller one. I think i have a solution for that).
The bigger problem are the building footprints. But today I found a sotware, which might solve also this issue. Has anyone already heard of "Digibati"?

Might I show you a few pictures of a "little" project I did last year?

That looks fantastic... Please get done with Germany fast, so you can progress with Africa...

Re my earlier post.

It appers that Annotator does not read the agn files correctly.

These shots are at EDWO. As you can see, Annotator does not display vegetation to the east of the airfield:

But trees are displayed in FSX and P3D:

Abidjan is already done :p

Really nice job Matthias, I did the whole Luxembourg country last weekend out of OpenStreetMap datas, quality is really nice !
I didn't take some pictures but you can download it here if interested, I added a PhotoScenery too, just for pleasure :)http://www.mediafire.com/file/ly3pz9zm6zq3t73/Luxembourg.zip/file

But yeah rendering is pretty the same as what Orbx make and this is really impressive !

Oh really ! Thank you !

Which soft are you using to compile all of those agn files ?
For Luxembourg I used scenproc, I made it pretty quickly, like 3 hours but it is a small area, if you can do better you can obviously try it on my already made photoground !

Yes, I am also using scenproc, but I am feeding it with data which I have processed with ArcPy.

Regarding the Annotator: that’s good to know!

Heligoland / Dune?

Mathias, have you created autogen for the above?

There is not much vegetation but there are a few buildings:

No, for Helgoland I have not created the autogen, because there is a very good rendition already from Aerosoft which is covering the whole island.

Oh, unfortunately I have far too little talent in modelling...

The Sketchup Warehouse is a good source, but most models require a bit of processing in ModelConverter to cut down the number of vertices and drawcalls.

I used to do that but I personally think it is quicker to build a new low poly one.

Hey !

Some screens of Luxembourg with Scenproc autopen and OSM datas (Link above)

Scenproc is definitively working well !

Amazing work. Starting to look real, and also starting to look like XP11.

How does it run? Is it smooth? Are you running this in FSX or P3D?

Hell yeah that it is smooth, it is a simple photorealistic tile with Autogen and I run it at about 80 to 100fps. (I7 4790K 4ghz GTX970 so you can have an idea)
P3D v4.4, Carenado Citation 2.
I also used TomatoShade to customize my shaders and add this blue horizon haze that looks sooo good !
