With permission, I have begun the first of several modifications to Virtavia's FSX CH-46. I eventually want to offer several versions to reflect the minor changes between different models of he BV-107 (UH/CH-46 A/C/D/E/F, etc.) and the several KV-107 variants. I initially removed many later add-ons for a cleaner aircraft, and have added the sponson tip-tanks used on some of the KV models.
I created a dae file using MCX and imported it to Blender (4.2). I exported the modified file as a dea back into MCX.
My intention was to texture the tanks (and other future mods) outside of Blender.
I have obviously missed doing something rather basic since a) the tanks show with the cockpit texturing, and b) I don't know how to create an unwrapped texture of the tanks to be used with a paintkit that includes the current texture files.
Any nudge in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thank you,
