• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

ADE Version 1.60.4836 Beta Released

We really need to include the main version as well. The build number is time based and so the current beta is 1.60.4849. The current production version is 1.55.4860.

It is possible that I released an executable only update and that might be 1.60.4853 but that build number does not appear in any of my official version history :o

Hi Jon,

(Nothing to do with ADE_gp)

It strikes me as odd that when I now load an airport and save it with another name (i.e. I add gptest to it) and save it in the work folder of 160.5854 and then compile under the new name that I have to give in again, upon closing ADE it asks me whether I want to save my file!? Of course I say no because it would, in my logic, be saved under the old name and in the 155 work folder where it came from. But then the file is not saved at all and I find the file with the old name back in the 160.5854 work file.
Gee, I am not sure if I managed to explain myself?
If not, please say so and I will try again with screenshots.

Roby

Update: reading what I wrote I'd better add more detail:
I have a 155 version airport CYP4 that I want to test 160 with but I want to keep it separate from the original one.
I load the 155 CYP4, make some changes in 160, save as CYP4_gptest in the 160 work folder, compile and close ADE. Upon closing, ADE asks me if I want to save my airport. If I say no, the airport is not saved under its new name and if I dare save it, my logic in thinking would tell me it would be saved under the old name in the 155 workfolder overwriting the previous one.

Screenshots would help :o It seems that ADE is behaving strange with file names as George and others report problems also.

Jon,

Did you read my additional explanation and still would like screenshots?
No problem if you do:).
Thks,

Roby

No that's fine - I will try and look at this tomorrow.

Jon,

Could we have a sticky where Don can upload his latest dlls rather than have them scattered amongst random threads?
