• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MV-22B Osprey

Maryadi, the weapon on the side was for demonstration only. The inlet barrier filter is to prevent damage during "brown-out" operations (operating in heavy sand/dust environment). The round exhaust is being tested right now. Your model is as close to perfection as I have seen. You guys are doing a fantastic job.

Send me a beta, I'll give you some feedback. PM me for details.

Question:
how about the original intake? is it has a cover? like yak130 or Su27, they close the main intake to prevent FOD came to their engine when they in low level flight or for takeoff and landing.

Yes sir, that's exactly how it operates. It closes the main inlet, and allows the alternate inlet with the filters to operate.

Oh boy, Maryadi truly IS a genious if he can even make great video's like this one !!!

And that's made before I sent him my latest VSTOL gauge (just now) with a few significant improvements on the VSTOL flight behavior .....

By the way: the ugly "white circles" in the video (on the ground, at 2min.56sec. onwards) is just a residue of an old gauge version, which makes the sim think the aircraft is hovering over water (over real water, it looks great).

Another thing the video (shot in P3D) makes clear to me, is that the FS "eyepoint" definition/position in FSX is behaving quite differently then in P3D.
But we'll iron that out too .....

Great project ....
Well worth the countless hours of sleep that I (and I assume: Maryadi too) am missing ...LoL

Cheers, Rob

just showed this to my boss, who has been on the V-22 program since 1982 (XV-15 days).

He is absolutely drooling!

Thank you Paul, Rob, Roel and PinkJr for your appreciation.
Sorry, that video is one time shoot, no editing just as leave as is except make smaller size from 8Gb to 150Mb. I afraid that not describe much.
Big thank you to Rob for new VTOL gauge that make it smooth transition, some improvement and add some feature like Vortex Ring State.
easier to fly, but don't forget the limitation.

working on night texture, working in progress on Virtual Cockpit ( VC )

still need to make adjustment here and there, but this one full day working on it. Thanks to Bill Leaming for FSX Emissive Textures Documentation, save my time cause no need try and error, just need adjustment.

I'm very exited about this project. The MV-22 is one of my favorite Birds. The A-10 being the Top Dog in my list. I've seen pictures of the Mv-22 and at night there are lights at the tip of the propeller. Is that something that is possible to replicate on FSX/P3D? I think they are for formation flying!!! I'll keep a close eye on this one, my wallet is ready too. LOL!!!

Thanks Ryno. That very nice to see real Osprey perform. I hope I can see real one, but that impossible by now, just a few country have it.

Hey Kalong, nice marine paint there! I was wondering if you are still planning on adding the wing fold/unfold animation? Or are you going to save that for a later day or not at all? :)
