• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello.

I would like to offer my service for animated people here. If you are interested, you can contact me via PM. Or via my email address info(at)bahrometrix.de
Depending on the purpose for which the animated people are to be used, there are different models: Basic, Standard and Premium.

Animated base models
animated_basic_models.jpg

These are people who can usually be deployed in terminals. The groups have different animations: sitting, standing, talking on the phone, communicating

Animated standard models
animated_standard_models.jpg
These are individually created characters from all walks of life. Whether they are to be used as passengers, ramp agents, attendants, or walkers, there are also animated characters from the military.

Animated premium models
animated_premium_models.jpg

These animated characters are the latest generation. They have the ability to speak, which means they can make facial expressions—their facial features are animated (laughing, coughing, speaking, blinking, etc.)

Whether for individuals or groups, there's something for every scenario and every taste :)

Description
The basic and standard models are available as male and/or female characters.
With the standard models, age, height, clothing, ethnic origin, etc. can be determined.

The included PBR textures have different resolutions:
The basic models have 1024x1024px textures.
The standard and premium models have 2048x2048px textures.

- Source files are included in various formats: MAX, FBX, and OBJ. Textures are available in TIF format.
- The FBX and OBJ exchange formats have been tested in Blender. FBX includes animations, OBJ without animations.
- The source files may be modified.
- The characters and textures may be used in your own projects. They may not be shared or sold.

The characters are constantly being expanded and improved. So check them out and see if there's something useful for you.

I'm very happy about suggestions and improvements!

Hello!

I'm currently expanding the range of animated characters. This means there are now groups of 16 people each.
At the moment, there are people on the phone and people sitting. This way, you could place them as waiting passengers
in a terminal or an airport restaurant, for example.

Over the next few days, more groups will be added (seated talking on the phone, standing looking around, etc.).

I've also adjusted the prices on CGTrader. All individual models, whether basic or standard, now have a uniform price. This might make it interesting for those on a tight budget.
There are also collections, which consist of a collection of individual models. Just take a look there; maybe you'll find something suitable for you: Bahrometrix - CGTrader

Hello.

I'd like to inform you that an animated flag is now available in my portfolio :)
The flag is dynamic, meaning it reacts to wind direction and wind speed.
If you're interested, you can contact me directly here or via CGtrader:

Dynamic Flag - Animated

Also included is a pre-exported SimObject including code that can be integrated directly into your project.
The SimObject works in both MSFS and MSFS24!

Hi everyone,

I've attached the new dynamic flag from Gtrader. The file worked, it looks great, and the price is OK, too. Thanks Christian :)👍
Hello Frank, I'm glad to hear you're happy.
In addition to the Dynamic Flag, there's also a Dynamic Wind Turbine: WEA Enercon 101

The wind turbine is included as a SimObject including xml code

Next step, more characters are created. These are the characters that can be given a "Speaking Animation":

That's also a nice SIM object, the wind turbine, I'll buy it too, you can always use it for assets
:):)👍
Oh, yes, I forgot to mention that. The wind turbine is included as a finished SimObject. So, not only the source files, but also the SimObject with the corresponding xml code :)

Hello, yes, that's a good question. Would it also make sense for wind turbines? Whether the flags really need LOD levels would have to be tested. Well, I can well imagine that with multiple flags, it would also make sense to achieve better optimization.
LOD0 to LOD3, LOD4

The flag itself is difficult to optimize because it has relatively few polygons. The mast could certainly be reduced a bit. It's always important that the final LOD model has no textures or animations!

Hi Christian,

I think you are doing amazing job considering animation presets. Do your models contain LODs?

Best Regards

Hi and thank you very much.

Yes, of course. The plan is for the Max file to initially contain at least four LODs. I'll have to see how and if that works for the other formats :)

Hello, just for information.

My Dynamic Flag at CGTrader has been updated. It now includes a LOD system, which is already included in the SimObject and in the 3d Studio Max Files. The SimObject works in both MSFS and MSFS24.

The LOD system ranges from LOD0 to LOD4:

So, the first pilot is finished: Pilot - Animated Character

Upon request, other animations can be added to the face at any time, free of charge: talking, laughing, yawning, coughing, etc.
The package at CGTrader already includes a SimObject with a LOD system, which has been tested in MSFS and MSFS24.

This is the first character that can speak!
The model has a facial rig that can be used to animate facial expressions:

And on we go... the next models are ready:

Animated Gate Attendants, male and female:

In addition to the source files, ready-to-use SimObjects with integrated LOD systems (LOD0-LOD5) are included.
Animated Male and Female Gate Attendants as a Bundle Pack

The first of several animated police officers as premium model:

A face-bone rig is included for the animation of facial expressions

A ready-to-use simobject with a LOD system is also included here.

If anyone has any ideas or requests, feedback is welcome :)

Hello, New Year, new luck!

We're continuing with a windsock featuring a new animation, the video shows a first draft.:

The "new" windsock was created using the Cloth modifier in 3D Studio Max and animated using physical principles such as wind, material density, stiffness, collision capability, air resistance, etc 😋
